The Late Production variant represents a later version with upgraded features and improved armour. The 1/35th scale model offers realistic processing and is an ideal addition to your military equipment collection.
The M3 Stuart light tank was developed in the USA in the late 1930s as a successor to the M2 and production began in 1941. It was a fast and manoeuvrable machine, equipped with a 37mm gun and machine guns, which became the basic armament of American armoured units at the beginning of the Second World War. Its reliable engine, simple design and high mobility made it a favourite machine not only with the American Axisbut also by the British army, which nicknamed it "Stuart" in honor of the Civil War general.
Later production versions, referred to as Late Production, brought a number of improvements in armour, ventilation system and interior layout. These machines were deployed in North Africa, Italy, the Pacific, and in combat in Europe after the Normandy landings. Although their armour and armament gradually proved insufficient against the heavier German tanks, the Stuart continued to serve as a reconnaissance tank and infantry support vehicle.
MiniArt's 1/35 scale kit offers a detailed rendition of the late variant M3 Stuart, including the interior, chassis and fine armament features. The high level of detail allows you to build a faithful model of this iconic Allied tank, which played a significant role in the first half of the war.
The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
